Federal Tax Rebate Information for Seniors
Rebate checks will be given to millions of Americans this May as part of an economic stimulus package. However, in order to receive a rebate check from the IRS, a 2007 tax return must be filed. Even if your 2007 income is too low to file a tax return, you might still qualify for a rebate and should file a return anyway. If you do not file a 2007 tax return, you will miss out on the rebate that you might be eligible to receive.
Free tax preparation sites are located throughout Tennessee until April 15. Interested taxpayers across Tennessee can dial 2-1-1 (a free call) to find the free tax preparation site nearest them.
